My printer does not like it that I use refillable cartridges.  I have been using refillables that I purchased elsewhere and it was always a huge ordeal to get the printer to accept the off brand cartridge.  I would have to take it out and reset it over and over and over.  Finally, it refused them altogether.  Buying your auto-reset cartridge was my last ditch effort to put off replacing my printer.  I was very pleasantly surprised that my printer accepted these cartridges every time with no problem!!  I was printing 100-30 page documents and had to refill several times each day and it was wonderful not to have to fight with the printer each and every time.
Note:  We did have one problem the first time we used these cartridges. There is a little spot on the underside of the cartridge that was not smoothed out--a little nipple type spot--and so the cartridge would not fit properly.  My husband cut off that little point with nail clippers and then it fit fine.
