I used these for over 25,000 pages and over 9 years in my wp-4530 using inkxpro or inkowl after market ink. So with the $300 printer it cost under 2 cents per page + paper and electricity.
The printer survived being partially disabled from a lightning 3 years ago (no more ethernet port and if the print job was too big it would reset... (i guess the ram's not designed for 300 Megavolts?). I decided to replace the printer when it suddenly started dripping large quantities of black ink onto paper (but the print head still worked well). Judging by amazon reviews, epson printers often fail from leaking even when using genuine epson ink so I don't believe the aftermarket ink caused the leak. Even if it did, I'm doing better financially at 25k pages.
I got lucky buying a working wf 7720 from an estate sale because newer epson printers are not compatible with auto reset chips or 3rd party firmware in the united states as of May 25th 2024.
